Default TRD final gear, anyone?

Ray is amazing at tracking down stuff. Consider this an interest thread.

Approx. $550-600:

So what's the benefit of this specific gear ratio change?...

It looks like 1st and 2nd are slightly shorter, with 3rd and 4th being longer?...

Better for those whom are getting to the top end of their speedos?...

Cheers

To put it into racing term's from what i have been told and understand
it gives better excelleration, (due to the taller gearing )
and better fuel economy at cruising speed compared to stock ratio
where's Tamago when you need him

so it's a final drive change..

both options are taller than stock. so, acceleration would be hurt, not helped. the only advantage would be lower RPM's at-speed (highway).

$600 though? c'mon, you could buy a 6spd for that price..

also, did you guys notice that they're all discontinued?

celica GTS. with all trans swaps, you may have to fabricate/drill to make it work, but a 6spd with LSD would be SO MUCH better than this final drive..

remember, the final drive itself is what, $600? and about $1200 in labor to put it in
