So after finally taking off my dash I removed the passenger side airbag, plastic air ducts, a bit of excess wiring and a few bolts for a grand total of 10 pounds. I'd say the last interior item on the list is the giant plastic air box that can't really be removed without some extensive work.

Ya know I may take that offer! I've been trying to find a lightweight alternative to cover the gaping hole though so I'm not 100% sure I'm ready to get rid of it
Maybe I'll mold something to the same shape that's lightweight....

I'm getting a harness bar made soon, then I'll remove all my airbags.

what's the trick to getting the passenger side of the dash loose? i was trying to remove it today and had the driver's side completely free but couldn't get the passenger side free... didn't want to go yanking on it real hard for fear of breaking something.
