success. it was those two bolts mentioned previously. i didn't realize the airbag was attached to the inside of the dash.

is there any way to get rid of the airbag light on my cluster? or is that just something i gotta live with?

well i can't speak for arcticvitz but i very much plan to put the dash back in. just wanted to get rid of the passenger airbag and possibly the venting.

and also i apologize if this is a stupid question but why would the abs light come on with the removal of the dash?

It shouldn't. Oh and I didn't get rid of the dash just removed temporarily it to get to some stuff underneath.
