I feel that learning to adjust for the inadequacies that the Yaris has, which are plenty, teaches me in ways that a 30k sports car cannot. However, yes it does help that it's MY first car I guess I've always had the mentality of trying to learn the basics, thus why I still autocross on really crappy tires, before investing a ton of money on a car that I can't even fully enjoy.
hmm... you make a lot of sense! Maybe part of why I love it so much and why I hate when people hate on them...

I made the choice to become independent and cut the strings with him and stop living to his expectations because it was causing anxiety and depression that was ruining my life. The Yaris was a way to get out of that mess and begin a new and much happier life. I know this is off-topic, but I have to say I feel ya on this man. Matter of fact I almost wanna say we have the same parents lol. I had to completely ditch the nest too some 10 years ago before they drove me insane (any further anyway). Yeah it is always good to be able to do your own thing and breathe a little. And you got the right idea driving out to Pt. Mugu. It always helps clear my head too.

Very nice AWDs BTW
