I've always wondered... are there any compatible parts between the Yaris and the Aveo?
I read somewhere on the net how the Toyota Matrix and the Pontiac Vibe are basically the same car underneath. So I was wondering, since plants like NUMMI make parts for different manufacturers, are there any other models that are "compatible"? It just seems to me like the Yaris and the Aveo would be a good matching pair, hatchback to hatchback, sedan to sedan... Any thoughts?

Awesome Barber! But you know what's really funny? I saw all the tire tracks and I immediately wanted to ask you "How awesome is it to throw the e-brake when the road is filled with snow?"
Then I move down two more pictures and see you explaining that you already had done it lots and lots of times haha...

suzuki swift+, pontiac wave/g3, chevy aveo, and daewoo kalos are all the same they actually have a 2 door hatch aveo overseas which looks kinda neat (though it has the same like-it-or-hate-it fascia that our 06 has). parts are swappable from the daewoo lanos, iirc. ive read a couple of 2.0L engine swaps into an aveo....pretty neat stuff....you could grab the 2L out of a chevy optra (did you have that in the US?) and toss 'er in the aveo....could make for an interesting car!
