![]() The Scion xD is a five-door hatchback subcompact marketed in the US by Japanese automaker Toyota beginning with the 2008 model year — replacing the xA. The Scion xD and the second generation xB were first shown to the public on February 8, 2007 at the Chicago Auto Show.[1] The xD appeared in Scion showrooms in summer 2007. Scion xD is based on the Japanese Toyota iSt and many of the options available for that model (iSt) will fit. Not only that, the xD falls into the bargain bin models and shares its chassis as well as the transmission with the the Yaris. This allows for many Yaris/Vitz suspension mods to be equipped with minimal to no problems. The Scion xD also shares engines (2ZR) with the European perfomance model of the Yaris, the TSport. Some basic specs : Engine : 1.8L | 128 hp @ 6000 rpms | 126 lb.ft @ 4400 rpms| 2ZR-FE | weight - 214 lbs(w/o fuel) | 10.0:1 compression ratio Tranny : C50 | Differential Gear Ratio 3.941 | 1st 3.545 | 2nd 1.904 | 3rd 1.310 | 4th 0.969 | 5th 0.815 | Chassis : ZSP110 | wheelbase 96.9 in | total vehicle weight 2624 lbs Aftermarket Parts & Suppliers (Please note some parts are considered for the Yaris only if searching for from specific dealers) : Exhaust Department: PrecisionMuffler [Axleback] TRD [Axleback] Tanabe [Axleback] Greddy [Axleback] DCSports [Axleback] Intake Department: F5 Fujita [Cold Air] TRD [Drop In] K&N [Drop In & Short Ram] Weapon R [Short Ram] Takeda [Cold Air] Engine Bolt On Department: TRD [CF Engine Cover/Roll Stopper] NST [Pulley Kit] Forced Induction Department: DYI (Waiting for results and parts list from Castrex) Drivetrain Department: NST [Short Shifter kit (Stage 1 & 2)/SS Shifter Bushings] TRD [Short Shifter kit] Piggies [Short Shifter kit] Exedy [Clutch] Fidanza [Flywheel] Kaaz [LSD] Suspension Department: C-One [Suspension Reinforcement Bars] BeatRush [See above] H&R Sport [Springs] KW Suspensions [Coilovers] Tanabe [Springs/Strut Brace] Penguin Garage [Wheel spacers] TRD [Brake Pads/Struts/Springs] Tein [Coilovers] K Sport [Coilovers] Megan Racing [Coilovers/Braces] Exterior Department: FiveAxxis [Lip kit] DAMD [Lip kit] Seibon [CF Hood] Extreme Dimensions [CF Hood/Hatch] Toyota JDM [Ist Emblems/Ist Rainguards/Chrome Door Handles] TYC [Taillights] Scion Optimize [Fog Lights] AIT Racing [Body Kit] Interior Department: Garage 2117 [LED Conversions] Toyota JDM [Illuminated Door Sills/Interior Lighting/Seats/Carpeting/Etc] eBay [Door Pocket Inserts] Fluids : Oil - 0w-20/5w-20 (4.4 qts) Coolant - 5.3 qts Tranny - 75w (2 qts) Gas - 87+ (11 gals) Lighting : Head lights - 9003 Parking/Mirror/License lights - 168 Turn signals - 7440 Tail lights - 7443 Reverse lights - 921 Wiper blades : Front : 26" driver 14" passenger Rear : 11" Wheels : Wheels sized from 15"-19" can fit properly on the xD without any alterations. As width goes, it seems 8" is the max before rubbing the fenders. Offset is usually good to stay between 35-45 Tire Sizes : 15" wheels - 50 height is a good combo, gives u a little bit of a drop in height and still fills in the fender gap nicely 16" wheels - 60 is the stock height but 50s can also be used if your looking for a little bit of a drop in height 17" wheels - 45 seems like a perfect match and also come equipped to stock tC wheels that can be swapped. I run this height on my own 17s 18" wheels - 40 is the height used by Toyota for their TRD optional wheels. 19" wheels - Width depends on the rim size. 7" 215/225 seem to be a good combo and 225/235 for 8" and so on. For half sizes (7.5", etc) I would stick with the larger size as the whole (7" = 225, etc) More to come....
